Sathya Uddhyan is a free residential school for underprivileged children who have been abandoned or come from difficult familial circumstances.
Since 2012, Shikshya Foundation has been supporting Sathya Uddhyan to take innovative and holistic practices of non-punitive, value-based, experiential and explorative education to young children from the margins. SFN’s support, whether in the form of fundraising for their own residential space or in the form of their teacher’s salaries, frees them up to work towards taking a children-centered approach of teaching them to be creative, critical and self-aware thinkers and doers, capable of navigating the world in relation to their own interests and passions.
