After few months of the earthquake relief work in Rasuwa, Ms. Shradha Ghale contacted us regarding 5 children whose parents were no longer in a state to take care of their children. So, we requested our partner in Nawalparasi – the orphanage and school managed by the Buddhist nuns if they could take them in. It was a difficult transitional period initially for the children coming from the mountainous Rasuwa all the way down to the plains of Nawalparasi but during our last visit, we could see that the children were visibly better settled and happier. SFN wants to make sure that these 5 children will also be given opportunities right till their advanced education along with the other 120 children living in the orphanage at the monastery.
